    Description

      Current Situation

      • The Configuration view, Workflows view and Daily Plan view are organized in folders to select workflows. Technically workflow names are unique and folders are a means to organize workflows in hierarchies.
      • The views display absolute paths to workflows which requires a lot of space on the screen for deep hierarchies.
      • Users would like to organize workflows by tags which allows
        • shorter paths to be displayed,
        • the same workflows to appear with different tags.

      Desired Behavior

      • The views introduce tagging for workflows:
        • The Daily Plan view allows to limit display of workflows related to tags specified by the user.
        • The Workflows view allows to display workflows from selected tags in addition to display from folders.
        • The Configuration view similarly allows to display workflows form selected tags in addition to display form folders.
        • The Configuration view allows to manage tags.
      • Tags are considered an alternative to folders:
        • The tree panel is extended to offer both options navigation by by tree and by tags.
        • Tags are persisted to the database. The relationship includes to assign a workflow to one or more tags. Tags can include tags to create a hierarchy.
        • Tags are available for CRUD operations to add, to update and to delete the tag relationship to a workflow.
        • Tags consider folder permissions: users with permissions limited to certain folders will find workflows only to which current folder permissions apply.
      • The GUI offers to switch between folder display and tag display in the Configuration view and Workflows view. In the Daily Plan view tags can be selected to limit display of orders to workflows assigned the given tags.
        • The tree panel in the Configuration view and Workflows view offers both options "Folders" and "Tags". In tag view available tags are displayed in the given tag hierarchy.
        • The Daily Plan view does not use a tree panel. Instead users can view the list of tags and an select tags to limit display of orders to tagged workflows.
        • Users can search for tags. Users can select any number of tags: they are displayed with checkboxes to allow unselecting the tag. Resulting hits include workflows that are assigned any of the selected tags.
