Description
Current Situation
- AdmissionTimes and Cycle Instructions specify Restrictions such as day of week, day of month, specific days and month scope.
- The instructions can be configured similarly to Restrictions of Schedules.
Desired Behavior
- Similar to Schedules, a Calendar can be specified to calculate start times:
- One Working Day Calendar and optionally one Non-Working Day Calendar can be specified.
- Calendars are managed with JOC Cockpit and can be used for any of Schedules, AdmissionTimes and Cycle Instructions in Workflows.
- Calendars are stored with the Workflow in JSON format. They correspond to the JSON format used by JOC Cockpit for Calendars. They are updated by JOC Cockpit similar to Job Templates.
- Calendars are used by the Controller to calculate days on which AdmissionTimes and Cycles possibly can start.
- Existing Restrictions from AdmissionTimes and Cycle Instructions are calculated on top of the days provided by the Calendar.
- For example, a Calendar can specify Mon-Fri from week days. The AdmissionTimes and Cycle Instructions can further limit execution to the first day of month. If the first day of month hits a weekend, then the next working day will be used as first day of month.
- One Working Day Calendar and optionally one Non-Working Day Calendar can be specified.
