    Description

      Feature

      • The article How to perform active checks with a System Monitor such as Nagios/op5 explains the use of System Monitor plugin scripts to check availability of a Master and Agent.
      • The plugin scripts use http to connect directly to a Master/Agent. This represents an insecure configuration and should be improved like this:
        • Both plugin scripts address the JOC Cockpit REST Web Service, not the Master/Agent directly.
        • The plugin scripts optionally use https
        • The plugin scripts use authentication and should be used with a role that includes minimum permissions for this task. Optionally a new role should be created for this purpose and should be added to the installer.
