Description
Current Situation
- Some users load all job chains into the GUI (from a single folder or across a number of folder) in order to use the "Search in Results" operation that filters display to job chains that include a specific job that they are looking for. This way of handling requires hundreds of job chains to be displayed and can result in performance penalties.
- To search for job chains that include specific jobs such users makes use of the “Search in Results” option that works locally in the browser but requires a lot of memory for the objects and forces the user to wait for the initial page (that includes all objects) to be presented.
Desired Behavior
- Improve the "Advanced Search" operation to search for job chains that include the specified job name (or part of the job name). This is a server based search that limits the number of hits from the database.
- This will improve performance for users who do not have to use “Search in Results” any longer to search for job chains that include a specific job.
- This allows users to store such search criteria with a Customization.
