Description
Current Situation
- The current Copy operation performs a deep copy only for inventory objects within the selected folder and its sub-folders.
- Referenced inventory objects located in other folders are not copied.
- When the copy operation reaches a folder boundary, referenced objects outside the selected folder scope are not included.
- The existing documentation/tooltip can be interpreted as stating that all referenced inventory objects, including those in other folders, are copied.
Desired Behavior
- The documentation and UI tooltip should clearly explain that:
- Copy performs a deep copy for objects within the selected folder and its sub-folders.
- References to objects located outside the selected folder scope are not copied.
- Objects outside the folder boundary remain in their original folders, and the copied objects continue to reference those original objects.
- Shallow Copy copies the objects within the selected folder scope without updating their references.
- The documentation should clearly describe the folder boundary as a hard limit for the Copy operation.
- Update the relevant JOC UI tooltip and JS7 Inventory KB documentation accordingly.
