Incompatible dependencies raise NullPointerException

Current Situation

• Release 2.8.2 brings an updated implementation for the management of dependencies.
• The implementation can raise errors when using dependency data that have been created from a previous release.
• The Inventory _view offers the _update dependencies operation to re-create data in the INV_DEPENDENCIES table. However, the functionality does not delete all existing data prior to creating new entries for dependencies.
• The bug affects operations to deploy and to release objects.

Desired Behavior

• The implementation of dependencies is compatible.
• The INV_DEPENDENCIES table is truncated when performing the update dependencies operation.

Workaround

• Stop JOC Cockpit
• Delete all rows in the INV_DEPENDENCIES table.
• Start JOC Cockpit and run the update dependencies operation from the root folder in the Inventory view. See update-dependencies.png
