Description
Current Situation
- Order Names are arbitrary strings that hold any allowed characters.
JOC-1692specifies user's requirements to extend the size of Order Names for better searchability. The feature request is dismissed for architecture reasons.JOC-1693introduces tagging of orders which allows to classify orders from tags instead of using searchable Order Names.
Desired Behavior
- Order Names should be unique per schedule. This change breaks compatibility.
- With
JOC-1693users can apply tags to classify orders belonging to the same category. Tags offer the flexibility to assign the same order any number of categories. - Making Order Names unique allows to identify individual orders from their Order Name.
- With
- Any number of orders holding the same Order Name can be created from a schedule, for example when using cyclic orders or orders with a number of start times.
- No two orders from different schedules are allowed to use the same Order Name.
