Map Ad Hoc Order IDs to the Daily Plan time zone

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Current Situation

      • When users add Ad Hoc orders for immediate execution ("now") then the Order ID holds the date (yyyy-mm-dd) for which the order is scheduled in the UTC time zone.
      • This can be confusing for example for users in a time zone UTC+x who observe that the Order ID holds the previous day in relation to their time zone. Though the Order ID is mainly used as an identifier, there can be situations when using Notice Boards for which users do not want the Order ID to carry a UTC date.
      • This does not apply to Ad Hoc orders that are scheduled for a future date (relative or absolute) as in this case the user's time zone is used to determine the date that is carried with the Order ID.

      Desired Behavior

      • To avoid any confusion Add Hoc orders for immediate execution will hold the scheduled date calculated from the time zone specified by the Daily Plan settings.
