Update Daily Plan from Workflows, Schedules and Calendars

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Current Situation

      • If a workflow is added and is deployed then the Daily Plan Service will create orders for dates only that are beyond the period covered by the Daily Plan Settings: by default the Daily Plan is creating new orders for the next 7 days (planned state) and is submitting orders for the next 3 days (submitted state). This behavior is due to the fact that the Daily Plan Service will not add orders to dates for which orders have previously been planned.

      Desired Behavior

      • Workflows
        • When adding a workflow then the user is asked from a popup window showing 3 radio buttons to decide if orders to the Daily Plan should be
          • added starting from the current day ("now"),
          • added starting from a date specified by the user ("date")
          • added for days only for which no orders have been planned (previous behavior)
        • Similar behavior applies if a workflow is modified and is deployed. In addition any orders for existing workflows are cancelled and removed from the Daily Plan if the user selects the "now" or "date" option during deployment.
      • Schedules
        • The same behavior as for newly added workflows applies to newly added schedules.
        • The same behavior as for updated workflows applies to updated schedules.
        • A workflow can be referenced by any number of schedules.
      • Calendars
        • The same behavior as for updated schedules applies to updated calendars.
        • A calendar can be referenced by any number of schedules.
