Keep connection to server during polling cycle

Desired Behavior

• This is a request to avoid long durations of idle connections to a server during polling.

Proposed Configuration

• Parameter:

  poll_keep_connection = true | false
  

  • The default value is true
  • If the value is false then the connection to the server is closed after a polling cycle and is re-opened for the next polling cycle.
