TransferZeroByteFile relaxed - YADE transfer fails if MinFileSize is not configured

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Current Situation

      • If SourceFileOptions / Directives / TransferZeroByteFiles is configured as relaxed and SourceFileOptions / MinFileSize is not set, YADE aborts execution with the following exception:
        [returnCode=99]com.sos.yade.engine.exceptions.YADEEngineInitializationException: [Source]com.sos.commons.exception.SOSInvalidDataException: input
        com.sos.yade.engine.exceptions.YADEEngineInitializationException: [Source]com.sos.commons.exception.SOSInvalidDataException: input
        	at com.sos.yade.engine.commons.helpers.YADEArgumentsChecker.validateAndAdjustSourceArguments(YADEArgumentsChecker.java:117)
        	at com.sos.yade.engine.commons.helpers.YADEArgumentsChecker.validateOrExit(YADEArgumentsChecker.java:25)
                ...

        • The cause of the exception is not immediately clear.
      • Main cause:
        • YADE internally sets MinFileSize=1 when TransferZeroByteFiles=relaxed, but does not correctly handle the case where MinFileSize is not set.

      Workaround

      • Instead of using TransferZeroByteFiles=relaxed, use MinFileSize=1 to skip zero-byte files.

      Desired Behaviour

      • TransferZeroByteFiles=relaxed should work as expected when MinFileSize is not set.
      • If the configuration is invalid or cannot be processed, the exception should clearly indicate that the problem is related to the MinFileSize configuration.
