Description
Current Situation
- The YADE Command Line Client currently expects the environment variable JS7_RETURN_VALUES.
- When a job is configured with Job Options - Compatibility with Branch 1.x, the Agent provides SCHEDULER_RETURN_VALUES instead.
- As a result, the YADE Command Line Client does not detect return values by default.
Desired Behaviour
- The client start script (yade.sh|yade.cmd) should support both environment variables by using:
- JS7_RETURN_VALUES if available
- otherwise SCHEDULER_RETURN_VALUES
- This was the behavior of YADE Command Line Client versions prior to 2.8.0 and should be restored.
Workaround
- If Compatibility with Branch 1.x is enabled, extend the YADE Command Line Client invocation to explicitly use the compatibility variable:
- Unix
- -return-values="$SCHEDULER_RETURN_VALUES"
- Windows
- -return-values="%SCHEDULER_RETURN_VALUES%"
- Unix
- Alternatively, disable Job Options - Compatibility with Branch 1.x if it is not required.
- This restores the default behavior using JS7_RETURN_VALUES.
