PowerShell CLI for PowerShell Core 6.0 with Windows and Linux

Current Situation

• The PowerShell CLI can be operated with Windows environments up to release PowerShell (FullCLR) 5.1
• There will not be further PowerShell FullCLR releases
• Future PowerShell releases starting from 6.0 are based on CoreCLR. PowerShell CoreCLR is available for a number of platforms including Windows, Linux and MacOS

Desired Behavior

• The PowerShell CLI should be operational for PowerShell CoreCLR 6.0
• The PowerShell CLI should be available for all platforms supported by PowerShell CoreCLR, including Windows, Linux and MacOS
