Description
Current Situation
- The existing JobScheduler Agent does not provide the capability to (re-)move file orders using the <file_order_sink> element of the job_chain configuration.
- Using fully-featured JobScheduler instances provides that capability for the supported platforms.
- With the upcoming retirement of fully-featured JobScheduler instances for platforms other than Windows and Linux our users of platforms such as AIX, Solaris and HP-UX require some equivalent functionality for the new JobScheduler Universal Agent (
JS-1291).
Desired Behaviour
- The new JobScheduler Universal Agent provides a file (re-)moving capability based on the local file_order_sink feature
- The configuration for file watching and forwarding of orders is located on the JobScheduler Master.
- The attribute file_watching_process_class for the <job_chain> element is provided that specifies the Agent that is in charge of watching incoming files, see
JS-1399
