If the database is not reachable on login then JOC Cockpit displays message "Account or password is wrong"

    Details

      Description

      Current Situation

      • If the database is unreachable and a user tries to log in to JOC Cockpit, a message is displayed "Account or password is wrong"
      • The error does not indicate that there is a system problem but indicates that the authentication information is wrong. This error message is technically wrong.

      Desired Situation

      • In case that the database is not reachable, JOC Cockpit should display an error message indicating that a system error occurred.

        hi Sourabh Agrawal

        Now I don't see the error "account or password is wrong" but although the database is running, every time I login into JOC, it throws an error;

        JOC-420, com.sos.hibernate.exceptions.SOSHibernateInvalidSessionException: Unable to acquire JDBC Connection: -1 Could not send query: Software caused connection abort: socket write error [from com.sos.jitl.joc.db.JocConfigurationDbItem where configurationType = :configurationType and account = :account]

        How to reproduce

        1. logout from JOC
        2. Stop MySQL database service
        3. Login into the JOC, as expected JOC will throw a JDBC error
        4. Start the MySQL database service
        5. Login into the JOC, JOC should not throw any error, because DB is reachable, but JOC throws a database error.

        Regards
        Mahendra
