Description
Current Situation
- Considered resources are objects such as Agent clusters, process classes and locks.
- Users are interested in monitoring such objects for resource consumption, e.g. if the limit of processes in a process class is hit, if the maximum number of jobs for a shared lock has been hit, etc.
- Currently such information is partially available but is not complete in the sense that a user could easily determine the limits and the current values.
Desired Behavior
- The requested information is about introducing a "proactive monitoring", i.e. knowing in advance if resources tend to be consumed up.
- For each resource the limit and current resource usage should be visible, e.g.
- 2 out of 3 Agents in an Agent Cluster are available,
- a shared lock has been acquired by 3 concurrent tasks with the overall limit for shared access being 5 tasks,
- 20 processes are running in a process class that limits the max. number of processes to 30.
- The information about current values and predefined thresholds should be visible from a graphical view and from a text view.
