    Description

      Feature
      Kiosk mode is offered for JOC Cockpit:

      • Switching between display of a number of views in intervals, for example 20s.
        • show Dashboard for 20s,
        • show Monitor->Order Notification view for 15s,
        • show Monitor->System Notification view for 15s,
        • show History->Tasks view for 30s.
        • show History->Orders view for 0s
      • Users find a sequence of views with configurable ordering to the extent that from the above 4 views 1 to 4 views can be selected and that each view can be assigned a period in seconds for which the view is displayed.
      • Kiosk mode never terminates the user session. Instead, it performs the /api/touch REST API operation in the interval configured by the Settings page (section: identityservice; setting: idle_session_timeout - 60s) in order to endlessly continue the user session.
      • Kiosk mode can overlap with user interaction. Kiosk mode will continue with the sequence of views, independently from the fact that the user might have performed some other GUI operation in between. The period between switching views is sufficient for the user to perform a logout operation.
      • Kiosk mode considers the follwoing security requirements:
        • Users create a “kiosk” role that is assigned read-only permissions. The name of the “kiosk” role can be specified from the Settings page, section: kiosk, setting: kiosk_role.
        • If the user account that logs in is assigned the “kiosk” role (and no other role) then kiosk mode becomes active.
